Who’s behind it

Hi, I’m Troy.

I run Lumen, an independent design studio in Adelaide. I design brands and build websites for local businesses, and I make every website & brand check myself.

Lumen is a young studio, so there’s no wall of reviews yet. Instead, the check shows you exactly what I’d fix and why, for free. If it’s useful, we can talk. If not, keep the video.

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one. The check is how we meet businesses we might be able to help. Troy may call once to make sure the video made sense. After that it’s up to you, and if you’d like help, you’ll get a fixed quote first.

Most of my work comes from word of mouth. Is this for me?

Maybe not, and the video will say so. People who are referred often still look you up before they ring, so the check looks at what they find.

Can you get me to number one on Google?

No one can honestly promise that, so be wary of anyone who does. What we can do is set up the things Google looks at for local searches: a complete Business Profile, a fast website with the right pages, and a steady flow of genuine reviews. The check shows where you stand today.

Do I have to change my logo?

No. Sometimes a refresh is enough: tidier type, a cleaner layout on the ute, consistent colours. The check will say which, and why.

What does it cost?

The check is free. If you’d like help after it, the price depends on what you need, and you’ll get a clear, fixed quote before anything starts.

How long does a new website take?

It depends on the size of the site. You’ll get a timeline with your quote, and we keep you posted as we go.
